# How to Set Up Your Stelo Sensor with the Nutrisense App

The Stelo sensor seamlessly integrates with the Nutrisense app to provide continuous glucose monitoring. Follow this step-by-step guide to get started quickly and easily.

## Step 1: Download the Stelo by Dexcom App

Start by downloading the dedicated Stelo app:

## Step 2: Create Your Stelo Account

After downloading the app, you have two options:

*   **Existing Dexcom users:** Sign in with your current login credentials
*   **New users:** Create a free account directly in the app

### ⚠️ Important: Understanding Your Stelo User ID

Your Stelo User ID is what you use to log in to all Dexcom apps. It could be:

*   A username you created
*   Your email address
*   Your mobile phone number

### How to Identify Your User ID Type

Username

Email

Mobile Number

**Your User ID is a username if:**  
• You are below legal age, **OR**  
• You created your account before August 2021

**Your User ID is your email if:**  
• You created your account after August 2021, **AND**  
• You verified via email code

**Your User ID is your mobile number if:**  
• You created your account after May 2023, **AND**  
• You verified via text message

## Step 3: Apply Your Biosensor

Once your app is ready:

### 🚨 Critical Step: Save Your Serial Number

**Take a photo of the serial number** on both your applicator and package immediately after applying. You'll need this number (starts with "21") for:

*   Future reference
*   Replacement requests
*   Technical support

## Step 4: Activate Your Sensor

After applying your sensor:

1.  **Scan the QR code** from the applicator using the Stelo app
2.  **Follow the guided setup** that appears automatically

## Step 5: Connect to Nutrisense App

The final step is integrating your Stelo data with Nutrisense. Choose either method:

### Method 1: Quick Setup (Recommended)

*   **Look for the yellow banner** on your Nutrisense home screen
*   **Tap the banner** that says "Complete Stelo Setup"
*   **Follow the prompts** to connect automatically

### Method 2: Manual Connection

If you don't see the yellow banner:

1.  **Open Nutrisense app menu** → Tap your photo/initials in the upper left
2.  **Navigate to settings** → "Settings" → "Sensor" (or "Integrations" → "Stelo")
3.  **Log in with your Stelo credentials** using the same User ID and password from Step 2
4.  **Grant data permission** → Sign and submit the authorization form

### 📱 Mobile Phone Login Tip

If your User ID is a mobile phone number, make sure to click the specific **"mobile phone"** option on the login screen.
