**The Stelo biosensor is fully waterproof up to 8 feet and safe for daily water activities.**

**✓ Waterproof up to 8 feet (2.4 meters)**
**✓ Safe for bathing, showering, and swimming**
**✓ Submerged for up to 24 hours without failure**

### Smartphone Connectivity in Water

When you're in or near water, your compatible smartphone may need to be **closer than 20 feet (6 meters)** to maintain biosensor readings. For optimal performance, keep the patch dry when possible as it stays on longer.

**⚠️ Important:** If you are in water, you may not get readings until you get out of the water.

##

## Swimming Guidelines

**Follow depth restrictions and consider smartphone proximity when swimming.**

### Depth Restrictions for Non-Stelo Sensors

**⚠️ Critical:** Non-Stelo sensors should NOT go deeper than 3 feet (1 meter) - this may cause device malfunction.

**Additional restrictions:**

* Do not expose sensors to salt water or seawater
* Monitor device functionality after water exposure

## Other CGM Devices

**Different water resistance rules apply to non-Stelo sensors like Dexcom G7.**

If you're using a **Dexcom G7 CGM**, please refer to their specific guidelines: [Dexcom G7 Water Resistance Information](https://www.dexcom.com/faqs/can-i-get-dexcom-g7-wet)
