Whenever you’re starting with a new exercise routine (or increasing/modifying your current one), it’s always a good idea to start slow and build from there. Starting your new exercise program slowly not only helps to avoid injuries and gives your body time to adjust to this change, but it also helps you to build confidence. Consider starting with a smaller, more manageable exercise goal to get started. Once you’re able to reach your original goal consistently, consider increasing duration, frequency, or intensity as you feel comfortable.
