Storage:
Store your medication in the refrigerator in the original container or prescription bottle until you're ready to use it. Do not freeze the medication. If needed, unopened medication can be stored at room temperature for up to 72 hours. Protect the medication bottle from light. No matter how it is stored, discard any unused medication after 28 days or once it expires, whichever comes first.

Expired or unused medication must be disposed of properly. Check with your pharmacy or local authorities to find a medication take-back program. You may also safely discard the medication in your household trash.
Needle disposal:
Used needles should be disposed of in a hard, closed container that cannot be pierced. Keep this container away from children and pets.
