Welcome to the Nutrisense community! Now that you have your Libre CGM on, it's time to activate it so we can start gathering valuable data for your health journey.
Here's how to activate your sensor:
- Download the Freestyle LibreLink app for the Libre 1, or Libre 2 app if you're using a Libre 2
- Create a LibreView Account:

- Follow the on-screen instructions: You'll be guided through a series of steps to set up your account. For additional support, you can reference our article titled: How do I put on my Libre CGM.
- Create a Username and Password: Choose a username and password that you'll remember. Write these down for future reference!

- Follow the prompts in the LibreLink app or Libre 2 app to activate your sensor
- Open the Nutrisense app
- Open the menu in the upper-left hand corner. Press ‘Settings’ and then ‘Integrations’.
- Press the ‘FreeStyle Libre’ toggle. A screen will appear asking for your Libre username and password that you noted down earlier. Fill in your credentials and confirm.
- If successful, you will begin to see data from your Libre sensor within 20 minutes. You can check the Libre 1 or 2 account to make sure your sensor is sending data and to see your current glucose level.
The Libre CGM devices can take up to one hour to appear activated within the Libre app, but don't worry! As soon as your sensor is ready, the data will sync via Bluetooth.
If you're using an Android device, please make sure NFC is turned on by going into Settings on your phone and searching for the NFC option. You will not be able to activate or scan the sensor unless this option is toggled on!
It's important to note that the first 24 hours of the collected data may be inaccurate since the Libre CGM is calibrating during this period. Please don't be alarmed if the values seem to fluctuate excessively. Also, the Libre CGM collects data in 15-minute increments and will display them with a 20-minute delay.
In the meantime, get used to meal logging and activity tracking!
