The CGM is safe. We encourage you to wear yours to gain deeper insights into your daily activities. You will forget that it's even there!
Working Out
You can shower and workout with the sensor, just be cautious not to catch it on your clothes or any other materials because it can loosen the sensor, knock it out of place, or break off the filament.
Intense sweat and movement can loosen the adhesive, if participating in intense exercise please make sure that you have placed the bandage over your CGM.
Sauna
If you plan on using your CGM in a sauna or will be traveling to areas with extreme temperatures, please note that the sensor operates in temperatures between 50 °F and 113 °F and can be stored in temperatures between 39 °F to 77 °F.
Swimming
You should not take the sensor deeper than 3 feet (1 meter). This may cause the device to malfunction. The sensor has not been tested in salt/seawater, so it is advised to avoid or minimize exposing the device to these conditions.
Want to swim longer than 30 minutes?
No problem! You can cover the sensor with a large waterproof bandage for times that you plan on being in the water longer than 30 minutes.
Please note that the CGM has not been tested for scuba-diving and therefore we suggest waiting to insert your CGM until after you scuba-dive.
We strongly suggest wearing the bandage provided to assure the sensor does not fall off or get damaged.
