The CGM is safe and we encourage you to wear yours to gain deeper insights into your daily activities. You will forget that it's even there!
Showering and Working Out
You can keep the sensor on while you shower and work out. Just be cautious not to catch it on your clothes or any other materials as it can knock it out of place or loosen the adhesive. For intense exercise, we recommend using a bandage to secure the CGM.
Sauna
If you plan on using your CGM in a sauna or in areas with extreme temperatures, please note that the sensor operates best between 50 °F and 113 °F and can be stored in temperatures between 39 °F to 77 °F. You may notice your CGM shuts off and stops collecting data after sauna use, give it some time to cool down and it should start scanning again!
Swimming
The sensor should not be taken deeper than 3 feet (1 meter) and should not be exposed to salt/seawater. If you plan on swimming for longer than 30 minutes, we recommend using a large waterproof bandage to keep the sensor in place. Please note that the CGM has not been tested for scuba diving and should be inserted after diving.
We strongly advise wearing the bandage provided to ensure that the sensor remains secure and undamaged throughout the day. For more information on swimming with your CGM, check out this article.
