If you're planning to travel by plane while wearing your Glucose Sensor, it's important to know that the device may experience issues if it goes through a full-body scan or X-rays. To prevent any mishaps, we suggest informing the TSA or international security agent that you're wearing a CGM and would like a manual check instead.
It's good to note that Glucose Sensors can go through metal detectors without any issues. If the security personnel appear confused about your request, simply show them your device and explain that it's a medical device.
If you plan on packing your sensors in your carry-on luggage, remember to remove it from the bag before sending it through the X-ray machine. Don't forget to inform the TSA or international security agent that you have a medical device that requires a manual check.
