If you are planning to travel (domestically or internationally) by plane while wearing the CGM, then you should be aware that the CGM may malfunction if you go through the full-body scan or expose it to X-Rays. Please, let the TSA or the international security agent know that you are wearing a CGM and want to be manually checked. CGMs are able to go through metal detectors.
By law, they are required to accept your request and manually check you. If they seem confused, simply show them the device on your arm and say that it is a medical device.
If you are planning to put your CGM in your carry-on luggage, please remove the CGM device from your luggage before it goes through the X-Ray machine and inform the TSA or the international security agent to manually check it.
