Looking to learn more about the difference between blood and breath ketones in the Nutrisense app?
Let's explore their differences within the Nutrisense app! If you're looking for an in-depth guide on the differences between ketone measurements, you can find more information in this helpful article from KetoMojo!
Breath Ketones
Breath ketones are a measurement of your body's ketone level, these are generally measured by blowing into a device, such as the Biosense ketone monitor.
Measuring breath ketones is effective for individuals who aren't interested or able to take ketone readings by blood.
Syncing Breath Ketones into the Nutrisense App
Nutrisense syncs with Biosense, which will sync your breath ketone readings into the Nutrisense app directly from Biosense. These are shown in the event log, underneath your glucose graph, in the same area you'd find exercise and food entries!
If you're interested in syncing your Biosense with the Nutrisense app, you can follow our guide to do so here!
Blood Ketones
Blood ketones, similar to breath ketones, are a measure of your body's ketone level. Different than breath ketones, a blood ketone reader measures the ketone level present in your blood at the time of the reading. These are most often measured in mmol/L
These work very similar to glucometers, you prick your finger, take a small amount of blood, and you get a reading for your ketone levels.
Syncing Blood Ketones with the Nutrisense App
Nutrisense syncs with KetoMojo, this will populate the readings you see on your KetoMojo platform onto the Nutrisense in-app graph on the dashboard!
