Looking to learn more about the difference between blood and breath ketones in the Nutrisense app?
If you want a more detailed guide on the differences between ketone measurements, you can find helpful information in this article from KetoMojo.!
Breath Ketones
Breath ketones are a measurement of your body's ketone level that are generally measured by blowing into a device, such as the Biosense ketone monitor.
Measuring breath ketones is effective for individuals who aren't interested or able to take ketone readings by blood.
Logging Breath Ketones into the Nutrisense App
We're excited to offer you the convenience of logging your breath ketones directly into the Nutrisense app. To do so:
- Tap the Green + button on the home screen
- Tap measurement
- Change type to Breath Ketones
Note: Breath ketones are measured in aces in the Nutrisense app.
Blood Ketones
Blood ketones, like breath ketones, provide an accurate measurement of your body's ketone level. However, unlike breath ketones, blood ketone readers measure the ketone level present in your blood at the time of the reading. These measurements are often displayed in millimoles per liter (mmol/L).
To take a blood ketone reading, you can use a ketone meter similar to a glucometer. Simply prick your finger, take a small amount of blood, and get a reading for your ketone levels!
Syncing Blood Ketones with the Nutrisense App
Nutrisense syncs with KetoMojo, this will populate the readings you see on your KetoMojo platform onto the Nutrisense in-app graph on the dashboard!
